| This evening, why not join
us in the "Bottoms Up" lounge for an after dinner
drink? "Bottom's Up" is the only nude painting done
by Edward Grigware. A commissioned work, the owner hung this
painting in his home in Texas during the late 50's and 60's.
Originally framed with red velvet drapes in an ornate frame,
"Gentlemen" enjoyed a cigar and a brandy in his den
after dinner while viewing the paintings attributes. Following
his passing, his wife made the painting available to the art
collectors network; and eventually it came to Cody via the Blair
Family. Well, the painting found a home, the Bottoms Up got
a name, and the wife... let's just say she "got her revenge
in the END!" |
