  • Trapper Bonzana Golf Tournament 12:00 PM Cody, WY Come out for an afternoon of golf and support Northwest College Athletics at the annual Trapper Bonanza fundraising golf tournament and dinner. Tee-off at noon at the Olive Glenn Golf Club in Cody, Wyoming.   • Archaeological Field School Lovell, WY An archaeological field experience. Students join with other universities to excavate in the Wyoming wilderness, looking for signs of ancient life and culture. This is a credit class.

  • Beginning Oil Painting with EvyAnn Wiese 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM Cabre Building Beginning Oil Painting with EvyAnn Wiese Participants will learn basic traditional methods of classical oil painting including the mechanics of painting, composition, technique, perspective, placement, focal point, unity, foreground, middle ground, background, and the psychology of lines and color. The first four classes in the course will address still life painting, while the last four classes will be devoted to landscape painting. Color is highly emphasized! EvyAnn is eager to share some of what she has learned over decades of impressive artistic accomplishments. This is a great opportunity for homeschoolers, retirees, and anyone who ever wanted to learn to oil paint. Students will need to pre-register and purchase their own supplies in advance of the class. A detailed supply list will be provided at registration. Supply costs will vary depending on where one shops, but have been estimated at approximately $100. The tuition fee is $175 and does not include students' individual supply costs. Minimum enrollment required. Advance registration required. Call PVCE at 754-6469 to register. 8 Sessions: Tuesdays, May 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15. 6-10 PM, NWC Cabre Building Art Studio, Room 6. $175 Instruction Fee Supplies must be purchased by student in advance. The Cody Songwriters meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Yellowstone Printing in Cody. This meeting, and other informal get-togethers give members the opportunity to debut new songs and seek assistance or critiques from other singer/songwriters. Annual dues are $20.00.
